On April 26, 2019 the Society Of Fa’afafine In American Samoa (S.O.F.I.A.S.) will host their annual pageant at the Fatu O Aiga Hall in Tafuna. To help meet their charity goal of $10,000 to donate to Hope House, a home-care facility in American Samoa, for the infirm, disabled & elderly without regard for the denomination of faith, corporate tables for this event are being sold at $1000 each. There are 6 contestants vying for the title of Miss S.O.F.I.A.S. in the categories of (1) S.O.F.I.A.S. Wear (2) Swimwear (3) Talent (4) Evening Gown (5) Interview. The theme of the event is “Your Wild Imagination,” and promises to be an evening of great entertainment and considerable amusement. The S.O.F.I.A.S. is a non-profit organization that focuses on community awareness and education of our Samoan culture through educational community events that foster stable relationships, respect for diversity, and social & cultural well being of Fa’afafines in American Samoa.
