There are a number of options available both via air and sea for travelers wishing to visit American Samoa. Air access from North America is via Hawaii, while visitors from Australia and New Zealand have a number of airline options via Samoa and then connecting onto American Samoa. For those wishing to travel by sea, there is a weekly scheduled ferry service from Apia, Samoa into Pago Pago, American Samoa. All visitors to American Samoa require a passport valid for six months or more, a return ticket or onward ticket and enough funds to support your stay.
Passports Not Requiring Visa's
US Citizens and US Nationals do not require a visa and may enter and leave freely.
Canadian, Australian, New Zealand and United Kingdom citizens may enter American Samoa and will be issued with a 30 day entry permit.
Passports Requiring Visa’s
All other international passport holders intending to visit American Samoa for business or holiday are required to apply for an entry visa.
